OUR CARING STAFF

Our staff includes an experienced, director/qualified lead teacher, teacher assistant, and volunteer parents. We offer a warm welcome to each and every child and family. Each staff member is committed to providing a caring, creative, Christ-centered learning experience. Our teachers are certified in Child CPR & First Aide, Food Handlers License, and Mandatory Reporting.  All have passed a Criminal Background Check.

    Orenco Christian Preschool's Director/Lead teacher

    Hi!  I'm Karen Campbell, the new Director/Teacher of Orenco Christian Preschool. I have been an early educator for over ten years and currently working on my Bachelor of Arts in Child Development.  God has given me a desire and calling to serve young children and their families by providing them with a fun, loving, and educational preschool experience.   

    My husband and I have been happily married for 26 years and are the proud “fur parents” of two crazy boxers!  We originally are from Arizona but have spent the last 18 years living in San Diego, traveling, and serving as God leads.

  • MARK RAINEY

    ORENCO CHURCH Pastor

    Mark has served as Pastor at Orenco Church since October 1983. Following his education at California State University and Fuller Theological Seminary, Mark served churches in Red Bluff, California, and Oregon City, Oregon. His wife, Lisa, is a 6th-grade teacher at Orenco Elementary School. Mark and Lisa have three adult children: Sarah, Ben, and Alyssa.


    Mark visits with the children every Wednesday morning, telling a story or leading them in song. The children enjoy and look forward to our time with him.

  • Nancy Collins

    OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

    Nancy has served as Orenco Church's Office Administrator since 2007, after a long career at Intel. She has been an active member of Orenco Church for several years and has served as an Elder and a Deacon. She also currently serves as the Clerk of Session. When away from the church, Nancy judges at horse and dog shows.  She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.

  • HAVEN GILBERT

    CHILDREN'S MINISTRY DIRECTOR/OUTREACH COORDINATOR

    Haven Gilbert first attended Orenco Presbyterian during the summer of 2001 at the age of five when she attended Vacation Bible School. She first began her work in the church by becoming the nursery attendant shortly after graduating High School in 2014. Haven began her new position as the Outreach Coordinator for Orenco church in 2020.

    Haven has always had a passion for helping others along with teaching and caring for children. She began her career as a nanny seven years ago caring for two children and still cares for them to this day. When Haven is not at the church she can be found at a local sporting event cheering in the crowd or at home with her dog.
