Director
Karen has served as an early educator for over fourteen years. She takes pride in being nurturing, caring, and compassionate towards young children and their families. She has a calling and a passion to help children learn and meet their developmental goals while providing a Christ-centered, creative, and engaging classroom full of fun activities. It is important to her to build a school community between teachers, staff, and families by providing opportunities for parents to be involved in their child's educational experience.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development at Point Loma Nazarene University. She is currently working towards a master's degree in Organizational Leadership. She has been married for over 28 years to her wonderful husband and has two boxer puppies she adores.

Anna Peterson
Toddler teacher
Anna loves helping the kids experience learning through fun activities. She prefers to use play-based learning to establish a solid foundation for children to achieve their developmental goals. She focuses on having a warm, fun, and engaging classroom that feels like home.
She has an extensive background in teaching toddlers through third grade, with experience spanning twelve years at childcare centers and twenty-six years at her church.
In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time outdoors. She values most in her life: faith, family, and friends.

Evelyn Hinds
Three's Teacher
Evelyn loves teaching children through the early childhood years and focuses on creating a warm classroom environment that is creative and engaging for young learners. She intentionally supports children’s growth across spiritual, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical domains of development.
She holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialization in Early Childhood Education, and has been teaching for over 15 years.

Jennifer Schatz
Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
Jennifer loves teaching children of all ages and strives to create a safe, loving, warm, and engaging environment where kids can thrive. She strongly believes that play-based learning is essential for optimal early childhood development, creating a solid foundation for growth and learning during the early years of childhood. She has been teaching for over eight years in both private and public school settings.
She loves the Lord and has been working in youth ministries for almost ten years. She believes the best way to share the love of Jesus with others is by loving and caring for them in the same way Jesus did.
She holds a master’s degree in education with endorsements in English as a Second Language (ESOL) and mathematics. She also has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis on childhood and adolescent learning and development.
In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, hiking and camping in the Pacific Northwest, and going on small family adventures.
