WE MAY BE EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR

Looking for a preschool where your child can grow in knowledge, spiritually, socially and physically? The Orenco Christian Preschool has designed a new program to fit its ministry as an outreach of the Orenco Presbyterian Church. We are now enrolling students for the next school year.

We have two morning classes containing a mix of age groups between 2 1/2 and 5 years old.  Both classes run from 9:00 to 11:30AM, and pre-kindergartners may stay 30 minutes longer - until 12:00 noon.  You may also enroll your child for four weekdays (you pick the days) or five weekdays (Monday-Friday.)  Our classes meet in the education wing of the Orenco Presbyterian Church. Experienced, qualified, caring teachers will provide your child with a loving, Christ-centered, fun environment where they can learn and grow.

OUR GOALS

  • To make positive connections with each child and their family, just as Jesus has taught us.
  • To create a positive environment and provide learning experiences through which children can develop to their fullest potential - spiritually, socially, physically, intellectually, and emotionally.
  • To provide a warm and caring Spirit-filled transition between home and school years.
  • To create a partnership among church, school, and home, with a common goal of finding faith, giving hope, and sharing love.
  • To support parents in their God-given responsibility to raise their children to follow His path.

Biblical Foundation

Our program is fully focused and centered around the Bible. The stories from the Bible that will be used are written in an easy to understand preschool dialogue, with family discussion, Bible verse and activities assigned weekly.  Within the classroom, the lessons and activities will correlate around the set Bible stories.

Creative learning happens throughout God's creation.  Each day, the children will be learning the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors and science. This happens with conversations, experiences through discovery, sitting together at fellowship, small groups, snack time, outdoor activities, music and story time.

Our Curriculum

We will be using the Creative Curriculum format for teaching and learning. The teacher will guide the children to explore what they know, and build upon that knowledge through discovery and imagination in a creative way. We will use mostly natural material and recycled household items along with the standard craft materials with the focus of the children exploring and gaining insight to everyday materials and creating something unique like they are. Through their creativity they are better able to retain the knowledge they have gained.
