Dear Preschool Families and Orenco Community,
We hope this letter finds you well. Thank you for your interest in the Orenco Christian Preschool!
As you know, it’s been a difficult 3 years since the Covid-19 pandemic began. Our preschool closed its physical presence in March of 2020 - along with other schools, per the state's mandatory shutdown - for what we thought would be a short time. Little did we know. It was our hope to reopen each fall since that time, but the uncertainty of the pandemic and other obstacles forced us to postpone that hope. We wanted to do things right and pride ourselves in serving our community as best we can and as God allows and equips us. We now feel we are ready to do that!
Our school board is pleased to announce that the Orenco Christian Preschool will hold its grand
re-opening for the 2023-2024 school year! We are in the process of hiring staff and getting ready to re-open our school in September 2023. Please watch this website for upcoming information, including when registration enrollments will begin.
In the meantime, we are open for in-person worship on Sundays at 10am - this includes a time for young children with our church's Children's Director in their "Club House" area. We also have an active youth group for teens and small group studies for adults, plus several community events for families with children. In 2022, we were pleased to once again hold a traditional in-person community Easter
Egg Hunt and Vacation
Bible School. We also added new community events, such as an End of Summer Luau with water slides, bounce houses, and food carts - plus an outdoor movie night with a huge inflatable screen. We have big plans in 2023 and invite you to
follow our church's Facebook page and YouTube channel, as well as our website, to stay updated on
events for preschool and school-aged children. It is our hope to see you and your family soon!
May God continue to be our hope, as each of us navigates through the transitions we've all encountered in our lives these past years.
In Christ our Hope,
