There are two classes at Orenco Christian Preschool, one that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 - 11:30AM, and one that meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 - 11:30AM. Pre-Kindergartners receive an extra half hour of class time and depart at 12 Noon each day.  You may also enroll for four weekdays (you pick the days) or five days (Monday-Friday.)

The curriculum for each class is similar, with the Monday/Wednesday/Friday class covering the materials in more depth.

Some years we add an afternoon class.  If you are interested in afternoons, contact us for more information.

Our program for youngest children focuses on fun learning activities well-suited to children experiencing a preschool setting for the first time. Children develop large and small muscle skills through indoor and outdoor play. We encourage children to pursue their interests and develop special talents. They enjoy initial exposure to reading, writing, art, science and math through games and crafts. They learn social skills and the assets of being a member of a class guided by a caring teacher. Our program is seasoned with music, worship and show-and-tell.

Our program for older children emphasizes kindergarten readiness.  It includes hands-on activities, name recognition and classroom skills in addition to shapes, letter names and sounds, and number readiness. Children develop large and small muscle skills with indoor and outdoor parallel and group play. We encourage children to develop their unique interests and talents. We embellish our program with weekly themes designed around art, worship, music and show-and-tell activities.
