What will children learn at Orenco Christian Preschool?  


We desire to help children with their developmental milestones.   During the ages of 3-5 years old children begin to learn the following skills through age-appropriate curriculum at OCP:

  • Colors, Numbers, Letters, and Shapes Recognition.
  • Letter Phonics, Phonemic Awareness, Vocabulary.
  • Counting Numbers.
  • Social-Emotional Skills.
  • Language and Literacy.
  • Fine Motor (cutting, gluing, beading, coloring, and writing).
  • Gross Motor (crawling, walking, jumping, hopping on one foot, riding a tricycle).
  • Singing Songs.
  • Character Building
  • Art Projects
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Safety-skills.
  • Classroom Community.

We want your child to love coming to school!  At Orenco Christian Preschool, your child will experience a caring and Christ-centered environment where they can have fun.  Children will have time to discover their environment through science, art, gross and fine motor activities, dramatic play, building blocks, music, reading, and much more!  All activities and lessons are geared towards promoting a love for learning, opportunities for creativity, building up the whole child, and preparing for the next steps in their education.  


Children must be three years old and fully potty trained before beginning the program.


Children in the pre-kindergarten class must be 4 years old before September 1st of the new school year.

  • Monthly Newsletter about upcoming events and activities.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences in April to receive feedback on your child’s development, social interactions, and progress in the classroom.

  • Portfolio of work completed from the school year.

  • Opportunities for parents to be involved in school activities.
