All teachers and staff are well-trained in child development, maintain certifications in Child CPR & First Aid, and have been approved to be associated with our childcare facility in Oregon through the Central Background Registry, a division of Child Care Licensing.

  • Karen Campbell

    Director

    Karen has served as an early educator for over fourteen years.  She prides herself on being nurturing, caring, and compassionate to young children and their families.  She has a calling and a passion to help children learn and meet their developmental goals while providing a Christ-centered, creative, and engaging classroom full of fun activities.  It is important to her to build a school community between teachers, staff, and families by providing opportunities for parents to be involved in their child's educational experience.


    Karen received her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development at Point Loma Nazarene University.  She is currently working towards a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership.  She has been married for over 28 years to her wonderful husband and has two boxer puppies she adores.

  • Evelyn Hinds

    Three's Teacher

    Evelyn loves teaching children through the early childhood years and focuses on creating a warm classroom environment that is creative and engaging for young learners. She intentionally supports children’s growth across spiritual, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical domains of development. Evelyn has a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in Early Childhood Education and has been teaching for over 15 years.

  • Kiyoko Boyd

    Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

    Kiyoko has worked in public and private schools for 15 years and educated her two sons at home for 8 years ranging from preschool to the 5th grade. For the last 20 years she has been teaching Sunday School, and for the past year volunteered as an aide for the North Plains public library’s children’s story time. 


    Among the age groups, Kiyoko has come to love learning most with younger children.  She sees a teacher’s role as someone who awakens joy in students and instills a love of learning. Seeing children’s eyes shine at each new discovery is one of her greatest joys.  


    She received a BA in English Literature in Japan and a BA in Social Studies Composite at Hope College in Michigan. Recently, she received a certificate in “Asperger’s Syndrome and High Functioning Autism” from the Special Education Department of Portland State University. She has been married to an intelligent and funny husband for over 32 years and has two adult

    children, one in Wisconsin and the other in Massachusetts.
